ChainThink reports, according to Cointelegraph, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that the Senate is expected to vote on the CLARITY Act before its August recess.
The bill still faces some opposition, including Democrats pushing for stronger ethics provisions and Republican Senator Josh Hawley expressing reservations on banking-related issues. Majority Leader John Thune plans to schedule a vote by Saturday.
If voting is not completed by the end of this weekend, the review will be postponed until after the session resumes in mid-September and may be extended to the 2026 midterm election cycle.
