On December 12, the U.S. SEC approved DTCC to custody and verify tokenized stocks and real-world assets on blockchain via a no-action letter. The move allows the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation to offer asset tokenization services on pre-approved blockchains for three years. This clears the way for certain stocks, bonds, and U.S. Treasury assets to be moved onto blockchain technology.
