Dallas, September 30 /PRNewswire/ — TXSE Group, the parent company of the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), today announced the successful completion of its third funding round, expanding its capital base to $430 million. This milestone comes one year after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved TXSE’s Form 1 application, permitting it to operate as a national securities exchange. TXSE is the first national securities exchange in Texas and the only one in the state with operational infrastructure and active main board listing capabilities.
James H. Lee, Chairman and CEO of TXSE Group, said: “The real competition for primary listing has arrived—and it will continue. Our historic scale of capital reflects institutional recognition of the market’s demand for a legitimate third listing option, which is precisely the direction we are committed to. While traditional stock exchanges focus on fintech, predictive and energy markets, mortgages, data businesses, and other areas, TXSE is solely dedicated to becoming the world’s best exchange operator. Our rock-solid capital strength provides us with the resources to fulfill our mission: improving the public equity market environment by aligning with and advocating for issuers.”
The company stated that this funding round has given TXSE Group a record cash surplus and raised the most capital of any new exchange to date. Existing shareholders of TXSE Group contributed over 75% of the funds in this round, reflecting deep and unwavering confidence from the world’s largest financial institutions. Major shareholders include BlackRock, the world’s largest institutional asset manager; Charles Schwab, the world’s largest retail financial services firm; Citadel Securities, the world’s largest liquidity provider; as well as three of the world’s largest investment banks—J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of America—along with other leading institutions:
- An individual or entity that directs or controls publicly traded companies across multiple industries and of varying sizes, with a combined market capitalization exceeding $4 trillion;
- Nine of the top ten liquidity providers globally, representing over 85% of U.S. stock order flow; and
- The world's largest ETF sponsors, representing over 1,000 ETFs, have combined assets under management of $11 trillion, accounting for approximately two-thirds of the over $16 trillion in total U.S. ETF assets.
Jaime Gow, CFO of TXSE Group, added, "Our record cash surplus further strengthens TXSE's capital reserves while providing flexibility for strategic initiatives. We look forward to leveraging our capital strength to accelerate the expansion of our main board listing and ongoing trading operations."
At the conclusion of this funding round, announcements regarding corporate and ETF primary listings have significantly increased across the United States. In just the past 20 days, mature public companies representing a combined market capitalization of $115 billion have announced their transition from the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq to the Texas Stock Exchange.
