President Donald Trump said he is forming an AI Force and will soon name an AI czar. He said the government would support the industry rather than slow or stifle its growth, while officials would watch for wrongdoing. Trump said existing criminal and civil law is already sufficient to address that wrongdoing. He modeled the proposed force on Space Force, which he called a success from his first term. Trump has not named a budget, structure or candidate for the czar role, and gave no date for the announcement. He said the only stated qualification was that applicants be people with high IQs. The czar position has been vacant since March, when David Sacks left the White House AI and crypto post. Sacks continues to advise Trump as co-chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Trump said AI could eventually account for up to 25% of US gross domestic product and claimed the United States leads China in the race to build it. He has called the backlash against AI manufactured and described fears of an AI takeover as a hoax during a live call with Nvidia chief Jensen Huang last week. In Saturday's post, he grouped opposition to AI with other issues that he called hoaxes and attributed the pressure to Democrats. Trump said the campaign began with attacks on data centers and weakened after communities saw higher salaries, lower taxes and safer streets. He had also warned that towns rejecting data centers would become backward and poor. Marcus Williams, a member of OpenAI's Safety Oversight team, put the odds of human extinction at 70% within three years without regulation or a coordinated slowdown. Bilal Chughtai quit Google DeepMind's AGI safety team and said the technology could kill everyone. An Anthropic researcher published a similar warning in early September.

Trump cited NS3 in proposing an AI Force and an AI czar to manage AI development without slowing innovation. He said existing laws can handle wrongdoing and linked the plan to the Space Force. Trump stressed the AI czar must have a high IQ but gave no budget, timeline, or name. He claimed the U.S. leads China in AI, calling fears a hoax and blaming Democrats. Meanwhile, experts warn of risks from unchecked development. In related news, the CFT framework could influence liquidity and crypto markets as regulators watch for misuse in AI-linked finance.
