TRON’s weekly market report shows gasless USDT transfers hitting nearly $3 billion weekly. Users can send USDT without holding TRX, as fees are deducted directly from the transfer amount. Wallets like Guarda and ChangeNOW offer flat-fee GasFree services. Cumulative volumes through these platforms now exceed $114 billion. Altcoins to watch may include TRON as usage grows.

Sending USDT on TRON without paying gas fees has quietly become a multi-billion dollar weekly phenomenon. Gasless transfers on the network have climbed to nearly $3 billion per week, a milestone that says less about TRON’s marketing and more about what users actually want: moving stablecoins cheaply and without friction.

How gasless actually works

The term “gasless” deserves a quick translation. It doesn’t mean transactions are free in some magical sense. It means users don’t need to hold or spend TRX, TRON’s native token, to move their USDT around.

Instead, the fees get deducted directly from the USDT being sent. Flat fees typically land between $1 and $2 per transfer.

There’s also an energy rental mechanism at play. Standard TRC-20 USDT transfers normally cost around 13 TRX. Through energy rentals, that drops to roughly 4 TRX per transfer.

Wallet providers like Guarda Wallet and ChangeNOW rolled out dedicated GasFree features in July 2026. These services handle the complexity behind the scenes, letting users send USDT with a flat fee and zero interaction with TRX. Some wallets support over 1,500 subsidized gas-free transfers daily.

Cumulative volumes through these GasFree services have exceeded $114 billion, a figure that underscores just how quickly adoption has scaled since launch.

TRON’s stablecoin dominance in context

As of mid-2026, TRON settles nearly half of the total USDT supply. That’s roughly $89 billion out of approximately $180 billion in total Tether circulation sitting on or flowing through the network. Daily USDT transfer volumes on TRON exceed $12 billion, with weekly totals pushing past $160 billion across all transfer types.

Why this matters for the stablecoin market

The single biggest friction point for onboarding someone into stablecoins has always been the “but I also need this other token” problem. Eliminating that requirement means a user who receives USDT can immediately send it forward without a detour through an exchange to acquire gas tokens.

The fact that services like Guarda and ChangeNOW are building GasFree features specifically for TRON suggests that wallet developers see this as a durable user acquisition channel.

There’s also the question of sustainability. Flat fees between $1 and $2 per gasless transfer work at scale, but the subsidization model underlying some wallet implementations needs to pencil out long-term. If wallet providers are eating costs to acquire users, the economics eventually need to shift toward profitability or the features risk being scaled back.
