ME News report, September 10 (UTC+8): According to TradingBeats monitoring, trading activity for traditional assets on Hyperliquid has declined from its mid-August peak. From September 3 to 9, Trade.xyz recorded weekly turnover of approximately $13.15 billion, a 37.6% decrease compared to $21.09 billion from August 13 to 19. During the same period, its share of Hyperliquid’s total perpetual contract volume dropped from about 45.3% to 25.9%, primarily due to a rebound in crypto markets and cooling demand for stock trading. However, this share has risen for two consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Hyperliquid’s main market weekly turnover increased from approximately $25.39 billion to $37.36 billion, up 47.1%. The decline in Trade.xyz’s share reflects both reduced trading volume on Trade.xyz itself and rapid expansion of the platform’s overall trading volume. The cooldown in individual stock contracts has been even more pronounced. Weekly turnover fell from about $13.87 billion in mid-August to $7.19 billion in the latest week, a 48.1% decline—nearly halved. The week-over-week decline was approximately 6%. NVIDIA was the largest drag, with weekly turnover dropping from about $977 million to $291 million, a 70.2% decline, likely due to fading momentum after its earnings report on August 26. In contrast, SKHX recorded weekly turnover of $1.716 billion, up 9.8% week-over-week; SKHY rose 35.0%. SpaceX, Robinhood, and Intel each saw growth of approximately 27.1%, 85.1%, and 63.6%, respectively. SanDisk and Micron declined by about 17.1% and 1.5%, respectively. Meanwhile, some trading interest has shifted toward crude oil. Weekly turnover for WTI and Brent crude rose by approximately 21.1% and 55.8%, respectively, while gold and silver fell by 42.3% and 49.9%. Overall commodity contract turnover still decreased slightly by about 2.8%. Notably, WTI crude (CL) has reached a seven-day turnover of approximately $1.6 billion, surpassing SKHX’s $1.5 billion to become Trade.xyz’s single largest contract by seven-day turnover. Recent open interest data shows that the notional value of open positions in individual stock contracts rose from approximately $2.016 billion on September 3 to about $2.235 billion on September 10, an increase of 10.8%. As of publication, Trade.xyz’s 24-hour turnover was approximately $2.719 billion, accounting for 28.4% of Hyperliquid’s total volume. Individual stock contracts contributed approximately $1.541 billion, or 56.7% of Trade.xyz’s total turnover, remaining the largest trading category on the platform. (Source: BlockBeats)
