Tom Lee, ex-Wall Street strategist and Fundstrat co-founder, has joined BitMine as Chairman. The firm is now focusing on staking and holding ether as part of its treasury strategy. BitMine holds 3.9 million ETH, over 3% of the total supply, and added 138,452 tokens in its biggest weekly buy in a month. Lee sees Ethereum benefiting from the stablecoin market and compares its potential to Bitcoin’s past supercycle. What is staking? It’s a method of earning rewards by holding and validating transactions on proof-of-stake blockchains like Ethereum.
