As per BitcoinWorld, Thailand has banned Worldcoin and ordered the immediate shutdown of its operations in the country, along with the deletion of over 1.2 million user records. The Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) cited unauthorized biometric data collection, insufficient transparency, and national security risks as the reasons for the ban. Affected users will lose access to their accounts, and no new registrations are allowed. The move reflects growing global regulatory scrutiny of cryptocurrency projects involving sensitive data collection.
