Tether has backed the launch of StableChain, a new Layer 1 blockchain for stablecoin payments. The network launched on December 8, 2025, with USDT as its transaction token and a $28 million funding round. STABLE will handle governance and security. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino advises the project, with institutional partners like Anchorage Digital and PayPal. The network upgrade brings new token listings to the ecosystem.
