The Cybercab is a mass-produced vehicle designed for autonomous driving, eliminating the steering wheel, pedals, and traditional rearview mirrors, featuring a two-seat layout with full control by Tesla’s autonomous driving software. The Cybercab was first unveiled as a concept vehicle at the “We, Robot” event in October 2024; the first production model rolled off the production line at Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory in February this year, with mass production beginning in April—approximately 18 months from concept to production. The vehicle relies on eight high-definition cameras for environmental perception and completes driving decisions through an end-to-end neural network, without requiring LiDAR or high-definition maps. According to Tesla, as of September 2026, the global fleet has accumulated over 22.5 billion kilometers of assisted driving.
