In accordance with RBC, 29,000 digital 'papakhas' from former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov were sold on Telegram. The auction, held in 290 five-minute rounds, concluded on Sunday, November 23. Each 'papakha' averaged 10,100 'stars,' equivalent to about 103 Toncoin (TON) or $150, generating total proceeds of approximately $4.35 million. The digital collectibles, issued on the TON network, can be traded for 'stars' or Toncoin and sold as NFTs on external platforms. Telegram founder Pavel Durov described the gifts as 'socially significant NFTs' that carry meaning beyond monetary value.
