Synthetix has moved its protocol back to the Ethereum mainnet after phasing out its Layer-2 solution. The shift reflects lower fees and improved scalability on Ethereum, where gas costs are now 26 times cheaper than a year ago. The protocol’s V3 is in a soft launch, limited to top traders and whitelisted liquidity providers. This move prioritizes security and leverages Ethereum’s base layer for DeFi scalability.
