SVRN was formerly known as OceanPal Inc., with business activities centered on NEAR Protocol, including managing a digital asset reserve primarily denominated in NEAR, driving commercial adoption of NEAR-based products, and supporting, building, and acquiring related enterprises. The announcement states that over the past year, the company has expanded from managing digital asset reserves to operating critical NEAR infrastructure, participating in network governance, and completing its first acquisition of FastNEAR. Schwed played a foundational role in the company’s transformation from OceanPal Inc. to SVRN, Inc. Sal Ternullo stated that he has worked with O'Kain at KPMG for many years and is confident he is the right leader to drive the company’s next phase of growth.
