Super Micro Computer said on Wednesday that the company is partnering with Nokia to deploy AI-powered radio access networks, known as AI-RAN. The system will combine Nokia network technology, Nvidia accelerated computing and Supermicro AI-optimized infrastructure. The integrated system will improve 5G efficiency while enabling operators to share infrastructure between connectivity services and AI workloads. The system will create opportunities for low-latency voice AI, vision AI, enterprise edge computing and physical AI applications. The companies aim to improve telecom network performance, enable revenue from new AI services and prepare operators for future 6G networks.
Supermicro shares traded higher on Thursday after the company increased first-quarter guidance on Wednesday. Supermicro projects revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion, compared with previous guidance of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion, because of stronger AI-platform demand. Supermicro is scheduled to release earnings on November 3, 2026. Analysts expect earnings per share of 55 cents, compared with 35 cents a year earlier. Analysts project revenue of $11.07 billion, compared with $5.02 billion in the corresponding period last year. Supermicro's price-to-earnings ratio is 10.0 times, suggesting potentially attractive valuation relative to peers.
Supermicro has a consensus Hold rating and an average price target of $38.00. Rosenblatt raised the price target to $57.00 with a Buy rating on October 21. Rosenblatt maintained a $51.00 target with a Buy rating on October 16. Citigroup raised the price target to $45.00 with a Neutral rating on October 8.
Wednesday's share-price jump is helping SMCI preserve the longer-term upward trend, although the chart still needs improvement. SMCI trades 6.9% below the 20-day simple moving average of $39.67. SMCI trades 4.9% below the 50-day simple moving average of $38.81, leaving pressure on the near-term trend. However, SMCI remains 5.2% above the 100-day simple moving average of $35.09. SMCI remains 13.5% above the 200-day simple moving average of $32.52, supporting a positive intermediate trend. SMCI's relative strength index is 46.85, a neutral reading consistent with an attempted recovery after a pullback. The relative strength index gauges whether a price move is becoming excessive, and the current reading indicates neither overbought conditions nor exceptionally strong momentum. SMCI faces resistance at $42.00, a nearby round-number level where recoveries could stall. SMCI has support at $35.50, near the 100-day simple moving average, which could provide an important threshold for bullish investors.
The Benzinga Edge scorecard assigns Supermicro a neutral momentum score of 50.44, consistent with a recovery attempt rather than a clear breakout. The Benzinga Edge scorecard assigns Supermicro a bullish quality score of 94.03, indicating strong business quality compared with the broader market. The Benzinga Edge scorecard assigns Supermicro a bullish value score of 92.3, indicating attractive valuation under the model. The valuation assessment could matter if SMCI remains above important moving-average support. The Benzinga Edge scorecard assigns Supermicro a bullish growth score of 99.12, the strongest category and a reason AI and edge-expansion news can move the shares quickly. The combined scores indicate a growth-led profile supported by quality and value, with momentum near the middle of the range. The combination could favor longer-term bullish investors if SMCI recovers above the 20-day and 50-day averages and breaks through $42.00.
SMCI has a 37.67% weight in the YieldMax SMCI Option Income Strategy ETF (SMCY). SMCI has a 3.74% weight in the ERShares Entrepreneurs ETF (ENTR). SMCI has a 3.84% weight in the Inspire Capital Appreciation ETF (RISN). Significant inflows or outflows at these ETFs will likely trigger automatic purchases or sales of SMCI because of the stock's portfolio weights. Benzinga Pro data showed Supermicro shares up 9.66% at $35.60 at publication on Wednesday.
