STT GDC is in negotiations for a $2.4 billion loan to fund AI infrastructure, priced at 165 basis points over SORA. This move follows a shift in investor sentiment toward AI-driven debt, with global financing reaching $6.5 trillion since early 2025. Altcoins to watch may benefit from this trend, as Moody’s forecasts $3 trillion in data center investments over the next five years. Banks are closely monitoring valuations amid rising yields.

BlockBeats news, on November 2, according to sources familiar with the matter, as the artificial intelligence boom continues to drive debt financing demand among infrastructure companies, Singapore-based data center operator STT GDC is negotiating a S$3.1 billion (approximately $2.4 billion) syndicated loan with banks.

The loan, which has a three-year term, carries an interest rate 165 basis points above the Singapore Overnight Rate Average (SORA) and includes an option to extend for up to two additional years. The proceeds will be used to finance STT GDC’s assets. This transaction is part of a broader wave of debt financing fueled by the AI boom, which has driven up bond yields and raised investor concerns, prompting increased scrutiny of valuations for AI-related companies.

Data shows that global AI-related debt financing has exceeded $650 billion since the beginning of 2025. Moody’s forecasts that investments related to data centers will reach at least $3 trillion over the next five years.
