Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin treasury company Strive (ASST) has announced plans to issue a new class of perpetual preferred shares, SATS, with an offering of 5 million shares at $100 per share, aiming to raise $500 million. The proceeds will be used to acquire more Bitcoin, purchase income-generating assets, or repurchase company shares.
SATS has a fixed dividend rate of 15%, with daily dividend payments, and ranks junior to the company’s existing SATA preferred shares, which have a floating dividend rate currently at 13%. Strive also plans to establish a reserve equal to the total dividends payable on SATS for the first 18 months upon completion of the issuance. (CoinDesk)
