Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to Bitcoin News monitoring, Strive purchased 1,800 bitcoins between August 24 and August 28 at an average price of $79,431 per coin, with a total transaction value of approximately $143 million, including fees and related expenses. This acquisition increased Strive’s bitcoin holdings from 21,356 to 23,156 bitcoins, valued at approximately $1.8 billion, making it the fifth-largest corporate bitcoin holder among publicly traded companies, behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. Over the past 15 days, Strive has accumulated nearly 3,000 bitcoins, including 1,110 bitcoins purchased between August 17 and August 21 for approximately $81.5 million, and 79 bitcoins acquired earlier in August for about $5 million. Strive’s CEO, Matt Cole, confirmed these purchases in a post on X on August 31. The funding for these purchases primarily came from equity sales rather than debt financing. During this period, the number of ASST common shares increased from approximately 79.9 million to 83.5 million, and the number of SATA preferred shares also rose; together, these offerings are expected to raise approximately $154.6 million, of which about $143 million was used to purchase bitcoins. SATA currently offers an annualized dividend yield of 13%, paid daily on business days. Strive has stated that it has repaid all outstanding debt, currently has no margin requirements, and its bitcoins are not pledged as collateral. In August alone, Strive acquired nearly 3,000 bitcoins, and ASST’s stock price rose over 5% on Monday, with a cumulative gain of nearly 100% for the month. Financing bitcoin purchases through equity issuance may dilute existing shareholders’ ownership, and a decline in bitcoin prices could also pose risks.
