ChainCatcher report: On October 21, Stripe and Anthropic announced in San Francisco and Dublin that Anthropic has integrated Link’s agent wallet and Stripe MCP into Claude Duet. Claude Duet is a new application launched in research preview mode, designed for small business owners and professionals to track tasks and complete delegated work. Business owners can instruct Claude Duet to purchase digital ads, business cards, team lunches, or whiteboard markers online via Link. Each purchase requires user approval before Claude completes the transaction using a virtual card. Through Stripe MCP, users can also send invoices and payment links, manage products and pricing, analyze revenue, and process refunds—all without leaving the app. Kevin Miller, Head of Payments at Stripe, said business owners want agents to handle tasks like ordering supplies or invoicing clients; Link’s agent wallet and Stripe MCP enable Claude Duet to take on more routine work while keeping control in the hands of business owners. Rahul Patil, Chief Technology Officer at Anthropic, said that as agents begin handling real-world tasks, financial transactions require greater trust; by building purchases on Link, users maintain full control over every dollar. Link has already enabled payment capabilities for over 200 individual agents, including Meta’s Muse, SpaceXAI’s Grok Bot, and Instinct.
