Stripe has made a strategic move in the on-chain news space by acquiring the Valora team to boost its stablecoin services. Valora’s founder Jackie Bona confirmed the team’s transition to Stripe, aligning with the company’s mission to improve global financial access. The deal excludes Valora’s IP, with the app returning to cLabs for future development. Stripe, which previously acquired Privy, continues to expand its crypto wallet offerings. The company also launched Open Issuance in September and is pursuing a U.S. bank charter, reflecting ongoing shifts in global crypto policy.
