Odaily Planet Daily reports that in its 2025 annual letter, Stripe stated that the platform generated $1.9 trillion in total transaction volume last year, a 34% increase compared to 2024, accounting for approximately 1.6% of global GDP. Programmable financial services directly or through the platform support over 5 million businesses, including many leading AI companies, 90% of the companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, 80% of the companies in the Nasdaq 100 Index, and approximately 25% of newly registered companies in Delaware (all created via Stripe Atlas). Link, as a simple online payment method, serves over 200 million users.
In addition, Stripe launched over 350 product updates throughout the year and completed two significant acquisitions: Privy, which supports over 110 million programmable wallets, and Metronome, which provides complex usage-based billing models for companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Confluent, and NVIDIA. Metronome has been integrated into the platform’s Revenue suite and is expected to generate $1 billion in annual revenue this year.
The company has also launched claimable sandbox environments that can be used directly within AI development tools such as Manus, Base44, Replit, and Vercel, with over 100,000 sandboxes created to date; the number of company registrations on Stripe Atlas increased by 41% year-over-year, with 20% of Atlas startups completing their first paid transaction within 30 days.
