Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, has urged MSCI to withdraw its plan to exclude digital asset treasury companies from major indexes. In a letter signed by Michael Saylor and Phong Le, the firm called MSCI’s 50% digital asset threshold “discriminatory and arbitrary,” stressing it could disrupt asset allocation and worsen risk-to-reward ratios for investors. The move could trigger up to $2.8 billion in liquidations and push miners to sell, according to Strategy. The company wants MSCI to take a measured approach, like its past handling of the Communication Services sector.
