According to The Block, Standard Chartered Bank's global head of digital asset research, Geoffrey Kendrick, stated that "2026 will be the year of Ethereum," predicting that ETH will outperform other cryptocurrencies. Standard Chartered Bank has revised its ETH price forecast, expecting it to reach $7,500 by the end of 2026, $15,000 by the end of 2027, and $22,000 by the end of 2028. The bank has also raised its long-term forecast, setting a target of $30,000 by the end of 2029 and $40,000 by the end of 2030. The report noted that Ethereum's dominance in stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and decentralized finance, along with increased network throughput, will support ETH's outperformance over BTC. Currently, Ethereum's transaction volume has reached record highs, with stablecoin activity accounting for 35% to 40% of transactions. Standard Chartered Bank forecasts that the stablecoin and tokenized real-world asset market size will reach $2 trillion by 2028, with most of the activity occurring on the Ethereum network.
