BlockBeats news, on July 11, according to EmberCN monitoring, due to the overall sluggishness of the crypto market in recent months, the combined circulating supply of USDT and USDC has decreased by approximately $13.9 billion, with USDT decreasing by about $7.4 billion and USDC decreasing by about $6.5 billion.
However, adoption of stablecoins in real-world economic scenarios continues to grow. In the first half of this year, the real-world transaction volume (ATV) of stablecoins reached $8.82 trillion, nearing last year’s full-year record of $10.8 trillion, with USDT accounting for more than half.
Amid a general decline in the total issuance of stablecoins, USDT issuance on the Tron chain has risen against the trend to a record high of $90.3 billion, with approximately $2 billion added over the past month. This indicates that the reduction in issuance primarily stems from the Ethereum ecosystem, which is dominated by DeFi, while Tron continues to see steady growth in demand for real-world applications such as cross-border transfers and payment settlements.
