SpaceX Stock Price Falls Amid Election Results and Starlink Talks
Amid Morgan Stanley projections, a related election report said Democrats won both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The result gave the party control of Congress for the remainder of President Donald Trump’s term.
The report cited victories in states Trump had carried comfortably two years earlier, describing them as deep-red Trump country.
Tesla also fell 5.6% as the US Midterm election raised concerns about regulatory scrutiny. The election commentary also cited Elon Musk’s political exposure. The political details appeared alongside reporting about Musk’s companies.
Meanwhile, The Washington Post reported discussions involving EchoStar’s Boost Mobile business as the SpaceX stock price rebounded in premarket trading. That occurred on November 2. The proposals involved either buying the carrier or obtaining access to its existing wireless network.
The discussions concerned Starlink Mobile, described as Musk’s planned U.S. cellphone service combining satellite connections with ground networks. The Washington Post report covered the Boost Mobile business and network access options.
Earlier Price Decline and Zhao’s Clarification
Separate from Morgan Stanley, the SpaceX stock price closed 6.37% lower on October 30. During that period, Changpeng Zhao addressed a dispute involving Elon Musk and the shares.
In an X post, Zhao described SpaceX as a strong long-term stock holding. He denied advocating a sale and urged supporters not to frame his request for Musk’s support as a threat.
TuanX interpreted Zhao’s request for Musk’s support as a response to excessive joking. Zhao’s clarification followed that interpretation.
