SEC filings show that Alphabet reported holding 551 million shares of SpaceX, with an end-of-period value of $94.18 billion, making it the largest position in its current 13F filing.
Valor Management holds 5.03 billion shares valued at $86.01 billion; FMR LLC holds 3.03 billion shares valued at $51.66 billion;
Gigafund Management holds 1.72 billion shares valued at $29.36 billion; the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia holds 1.54 billion shares valued at $26.34 billion;
BAMCO holds 146 million shares, valued at $24.91 billion. Other significant filers include NVIDIA, which holds 123 million shares, valued at $20.98 billion;
Baillie Gifford holds 514 million shares, valued at $8.78 billion; BlackRock holds 510.4 million common shares, valued at $8.72 billion;
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan holds 50.68 million shares, valued at $8.66 billion; the Harvard University Endowment holds 12.935 million shares, valued at $2.21 billion. All amounts reflect year-end filing values as of June 30.
SpaceX closed at $170.86 on the day and at $140 on August 14, a decline of approximately 18.1% from the end of the quarter.
Form 13F primarily reflects long positions in reportable securities at the end of the quarter and certain held options; it does not disclose short stock positions, short option positions, specific purchase dates, cost basis, or trades made after the quarter-end.
The appearance of related positions in the 13F does not imply that all institutions purchased them on the secondary market after the listing.
