ChainCatcher report: During the week of August 21–28, the total trading volume of South Korea’s five major crypto CEXs—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, DigitalX, and GOPAX—reached approximately KRW 31.1 trillion (around $23 billion USD), a record 188.04% week-over-week increase from KRW 10.8 trillion the previous week, marking the highest level in nearly 10 months since late October 2025. In terms of market share, Upbit maintained its lead with 59.61%, followed by Bithumb at 33.11%. DigitalX (formerly Korbit) saw its market share surge by 3.477% to 4.21%, surpassing Coinone (3.05%) to claim third place, achieving its highest market share in nearly 20 weeks.
