PANews, August 2: According to Yonhap News, in June of this year, the total amount of stablecoins flowing from South Korea’s five major crypto exchanges—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax—to overseas exchanges amounted to 2.7625 trillion Korean won (approximately $1.919 billion USD). During the same month, stablecoins flowing from overseas exchanges into South Korean exchanges reached 2.2022 trillion Korean won (approximately $1.53 billion USD), resulting in a net outflow of 560.3 billion Korean won (approximately $389 million USD) (calculated as outflows minus inflows). From January 2025 through June of this year, South Korean stablecoins have experienced 18 consecutive months of net outflows to overseas exchanges.
