South African crypto payments startup Ezeebit has closed a $2.05 million seed funding round to expand its stablecoin-based payment network across South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria. Raba Partnership led the funding, with support from U.S. firm Founder Collective. The capital will accelerate product development, boost merchant adoption, and deepen ties with banks and telecoms. Ezeebit offers instant stablecoin settlement at fees of 1% or less, having processed over 30,000 transactions since launching in 2023.
