Three years ago, when he and Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, first experimented with the Bitcoin treasury model, they did not anticipate such a strong response. Nor did they foresee the emergence of terms like DAT—but this narrative “only lasted two years.” As the market has once again corrected, outsiders are now asking where the next big opportunity lies. He noted that, based on the history of digital assets, the next direction will not be a repetition of memes or protocols, but something entirely new. His company is currently dedicating most of its time to RWA. RWA means far more than simply moving assets on-chain; some public companies are now transitioning and exploring ways to integrate corporate functions with tokens and tokenomics.
