According to ME News, on September 8 (UTC+8), the on-chain investigation account SomaXBT reported that the address 0x4e5df8422271690327c0348845b639196ab0081e is conducting cross-chain asset sweeps following thefts from a batch of wallets, having transferred approximately 245 ETH (around $600,000) in total. This address shows significant overlap with paying users of the automated interaction bot LootBot: among the 554 identifiable LootBot payers, approximately 280 (50.5%) have been completely drained by the same address. SomaXBT stated that the attacks are carried out chain by chain, first scanning Ethereum and zkSync Era, then moving to Linea and Base, and currently scanning Scroll at a rate of about 27 wallets per minute. Spot checks indicate that funds are being extracted nearly to zero, leaving only enough gas, rather than deducting fixed subscription fees. SomaXBT has reported the incident to LootBot’s official team and founder but has not yet received a response. (Source: BlockBeats)
