A solo miner mined a Bitcoin block using three devices with a 270 TH/s hash rate, earning 3.133 BTC ($284,661). The miner used CKPool, a non-redistributing solo mining pool, and received 3.125 BTC in block subsidy and 0.008 BTC in fees. The miner’s chance of finding a block was 1 in 30,000 per day, or once every 82 years. The setup is comparable to three Bitmain Antminer S19 units. The success highlights the role of hash function efficiency in block propagation.
