BlockBeats News: On January 20, Solana Mobile will officially open the SKR token airdrop for collection at 10:00 (UTC+8) on January 21. According to community feedback, users who received the phone but did not interact with the device can receive a minimum of 5,000 tokens, while users who interacted just once can receive 10,000 tokens. Higher tiers of airdrops require frequent interactions with the built-in Dapps. The five tiers of token airdrops are 5,000, 10,000, 40,000, 125,000, and up to 750,000 tokens. This airdrop will distribute nearly 2 billion SKR tokens to the community, with approximately 1.82 billion SKR allocated to 100,908 users and 141 million SKR allocated to 188 developers.
According to pre-market data from Whales Market, the current pre-listing trading price of SKR is $0.0165, with a 7.5% decline over the past 24 hours, corresponding to a fully circulating market capitalization of $165 million. Regarding the final valuation of SKR after its listing, opinions in the crypto community vary, but there is generally an optimistic expectation that the price will range between $0.02 and $0.04, which is higher than the current pre-market price. Some community viewpoints are as follows:
Crypto analyst 7de9 stated that the pre-market pricing on Whales Market is completely wrong, calling a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $165 million a joke, and estimating the minimum market cap to be between $400 million and $600 million. SKR is not just an interactive reward, but also a governance and engagement token across the entire Solana Mobile platform.
Marino, a senior investor in the Solana ecosystem, holds a more neutral view. He believes the token price at the TGE should be around $0.02—neither too high nor too low. This would help balance market hype while avoiding excessive selling pressure. A lower FDV is beneficial for organic growth, and SKR is ultimately expected to be positioned as "Solana's secondary token."
Noted DeFi researcher InfoSpace OG expressed some disappointment, stating that the average airdrop allocation for SKR was between 10,000 and 18,000 tokens, valued at $130 to $230 based on pre-market prices. Don't forget that users spent $450 to $600 to purchase the phones during the launch. To be honest, the price seems a bit low.
