BlockBeats news, on July 19, Serenity posted that SK Hynix's American Depositary Receipts (SKHY) are currently trading at a premium of over 25% compared to the local shares in Korea, and the two types of shares will become convertible starting July 29.
He believes that opening the conversion mechanism will create conditions for arbitrage trading and may compress the ADR premium, potentially leading to higher prices for local Korean stocks or pressure on U.S. ADRs.
Serenity stated that U.S. ADRs currently represent approximately 2.5% of the shares, with an additional 22.5% of shares eligible for conversion at that time.
