According to market data, pre-market trading for U.S. e-commerce platform Shopify (SHOP.N) has widened its gains to over 30%, as the company's second-quarter revenue exceeded expectations.
Shopify's Q2 financial report showed revenue of $3.583 billion, a 34% year-over-year increase; GMV of $115.567 billion, up 32%; gross profit of $1.708 billion; and operating profit of $488 million.
Free cash flow: $654 million; net profit: $1.502 billion; monthly recurring revenue: $221 million.
The company called it a "monster quarter," with GMV, revenue, gross profit, and free cash flow all growing by more than 30%, and it expects third-quarter revenue growth to be in the low thirties percent range year-over-year.
