Citing CoinEdition, Shiba Inu's Layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium, is set to integrate Zama’s Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) technology to enable fully private on-chain transactions and confidential smart contracts. Marketing lead Lucie confirmed the integration, which is expected to roll out before the end of Q2 2026, following Zama’s Ethereum mainnet deployment. The partnership, announced in February 2024, aims to enhance privacy and security for Shibarium and its gas token, BONE. Zama’s roadmap includes a public testnet on Ethereum’s Sepolia network and a token generation event before year-end, with plans to expand to EVM-compatible chains like Shibarium in early 2026.
