Odaily Planet Daily reports that Paradis Labs posted on X that it is currently difficult to determine whether semiconductor stocks have hit their bottom. Most assets related to AI infrastructure rose today, with SIVE, AEHR, and IQE increasing over 20%, and SNDK, MU, and AAOI rising more than 10%.
Paradis Labs stated that, regardless of today’s returns, the coming weeks will be more critical for gaining greater clarity: On July 22, Google will report its second-quarter earnings, becoming the first official measure of annual capital expenditures by the approximately $750 billion hyperscale cloud sector; On July 22–23, AMD will host its Advancing AI event, offering insight into the roadmap for wafer foundry load, advanced packaging, and laser-related demand through 2027; On July 23, Intel will report its second-quarter earnings, where 18A yield and foundry commitments may be key variables, alongside visibility into U.S.-based manufacturing and packaging momentum; On July 23, IBM will report its second-quarter earnings, with its market cap down approximately 25%; market reaction to guidance below expectations will be closely watched; On July 24, the 10% global tariff expiration date arrives, with new tariffs expected to be imposed on dozens of countries—this could act as a stagflationary factor and influence the Fed’s rate hike narrative; On July 27, the full weight release of Kimi K3 will occur; On July 28–29, the FOMC meeting will take place; experts and Polymarket anticipate rates will remain unchanged, but any hint of rate hikes or hawkish signals could mark the first true institutional shift in AI trading; On July 29–30, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon will report earnings, providing additional capital expenditure data; On July 30, the U.S. will release June’s core PCE.
Paradis Labs also noted that a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran could be reached at any moment. A 10-day proposal remains on the table, while attacks continue. An officially confirmed ceasefire would support oil prices and benefit semiconductor stocks. The above represents a high-level timeline of recent key events, all of which will impact semiconductor stocks to varying degrees. When hyperscale cloud providers release earnings, AI capital expenditures will be the most critical factor.
