Optoelectronics-related stocks led gains, with Lumentum (LITE) up 2.66%, Corning (GLW) up 2.04%, Astera Labs (ALAB) up 1.70%, and Coherent (COHR) up 1.27%. The storage sector remained under pressure, though losses narrowed: Western Digital (WDC) fell 12.06%, SanDisk (SNDK) dropped 5.62%, SK Hynix (SKHY) declined 4.45%, and Micron Technology (MU) slipped 1.75%; Seagate Technology (STX) rose 0.25%.
