SECZ, one of the altcoins to watch in the crypto market, surged $29.2 million in onchain market cap, leading tokenized stocks growth. Three CRCL tokens also added $36.9 million. The tokenized stocks market now hits $3.1 billion, up from under $20 million in late 2024. Altcoins to watch continue to drive crypto market momentum.

SECZ, the tokenized stock representing Securitize Corp. shares, added $29.2 million to its onchain market cap in a single move, cementing its position as the frontrunner in a sector that barely existed two years ago.

Three tokenized variants of Circle Internet Group stock, collectively tracked as CRCL tokens, weren’t far behind. They posted a combined gain of $36.9 million.

From under $20M to $3.1B in two years

The broader tokenized stocks market recently hit an all-time high onchain market cap of $3.1 billion. For context, this same sector was sitting below $20 million in late 2024.

The expansion has been powered primarily by activity on BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Solana, with the latter playing an especially prominent role in SECZ’s tokenization architecture. Avalanche has also carved out a meaningful niche, serving as a secondary chain for Securitize’s tokenized common stock.

SECZ itself launched with an initial onchain value of approximately $270.6 million when Securitize first tokenized its shares. By late August 2026, that figure had pulled back to around $165.6 million before the recent $29.2 million surge.

How Securitize got here

Securitize went public on the NYSE on July 2, 2026, through a $400 million SPAC merger with Cantor Equity Partners II. On the same day it rang the opening bell, Securitize simultaneously tokenized between $266 million and $295 million of its own common stock on Solana and Avalanche.

Securitize now manages over $4 billion in tokenized assets across its platform. The firm operates under an issuer-sponsored structure, meaning the tokenized shares are created and managed with direct corporate oversight rather than being wrapped by a third party without the company’s involvement.

The CRCL tokens tracking Circle Internet Group shares have followed a somewhat different path. CRCLx, one of the tokenized variants, has been actively deployed in DeFi protocols, meaning holders can use their tokenized stock as collateral or provide liquidity with it, rather than simply holding it in a wallet as a passive investment.

What this shift actually means

Stock markets close at 4 PM Eastern. They don’t open on weekends. Settlement still takes one business day under the recently adopted T+1 framework in the US. Tokenized stocks settle in seconds, trade around the clock, and can be moved between wallets without a clearinghouse acting as intermediary.
