Commentary from the President and Chief Executive Officer

Steady performance supported by technical momentum

The company reported organic sales growth of 3% for the third quarter, excluding the impact of the shutdown of its SCIS government business. Technological and security segments in North America achieved solid growth, while decreased airport activity weighed on organic sales growth in Europe.

In the third quarter, actual sales growth for the Technology and Solutions business was 6%. The company stated that commercial momentum in its global technology business remains strong, with installation order intake and backlog continuing to rise, particularly in North America and Ibero-America, where installation order intake reached record highs. The contribution of the Technology and Solutions business increased to 35% (from 33%), reflecting progress in executing the company’s strategic direction. The company attributed this development to its differentiated, technology-driven products and services, and noted ongoing efforts to further commercialize established capabilities within the group.

The company stated that its security services products continue to be well-received in customer segments such as data centers, defense, and pharmaceuticals, where long-term partnerships and high-quality security services are increasingly valued. However, demand trends remain cautious in certain markets and customer segments, resulting in more selective purchasing behavior and longer decision-making cycles. The company noted that it has effectively navigated these dynamics in North America, but market conditions in parts of Europe and Ibero-America remain fragmented, impacting revenue growth in the third quarter.

The adjusted operating profit margin for the third quarter was 8.2% (8.3%), supported by continued strong performance in North America. Operating profit margins in Europe and Iberia were below the robust levels seen in the same period last year. The company stated this was primarily due to airport security operations in Europe, which negatively impacted the group’s adjusted operating profit margin by 0.2 percentage points in the third quarter. Operating profit remained flat compared to last year. For the first nine months of 2026, earnings per share increased by 6%.

The company stated that its cash generation remained strong, with operating cash flow in the third quarter equivalent to 82% (106%) of EBITDA, and 71% (74%) for the first nine months. The company noted that it still has a solid foundation to achieve its full-year cash flow target of 80%–90% of EBITDA. The net debt/EBITDA ratio stood at 2.1 (2.2).

Become a trusted partner in the field of intelligent-driven security

The company stated that since launching its strategy this summer, management has met with clients across three continents. Feedback from clients has been overwhelmingly positive, with both existing and potential customers recognizing the value of the company’s goal to become a trusted partner in the “intelligence-driven security” space. Clients see clear value in the company’s emphasis on quality and its more dynamic, intelligence-driven approach that integrates high-quality security services with technology, data, analytics, and risk management capabilities. The company noted that while this represents a shift from traditional industry practices, the market has strongly supported this direction. Customers are increasingly recognizing Securitas’s ability to create greater value through artificial intelligence, automation, and actionable risk intelligence, and the company has begun to observe early signs of procurement trends shifting toward “intelligence-driven security.”

The company stated that, as part of the final phase of its strategic assessment project, it expects to exit the remaining contracts in the SCIS government business by the end of October.

Create long-term shareholder value

The company stated that, with the launch of its 2030 strategy, it has updated its financial targets to include an objective of achieving average annual earnings per share growth of 10% over a business cycle. The company said that, with a clear focus on quality, innovation, and disciplined execution, it is accelerating its transformation and remains confident in its ability to deliver sustainable profit growth and create long-term shareholder value.
