Scroll Plans Transition to AI-Specific Network; SCR to Migrate to Ethereum Mainnet

Huo Xing Cai Jing reports that the Scroll governance forum has posted that the team has recently integrated AI extensively into operations and product development. Previously, core chain operations required over 20 engineers; now, fewer dedicated engineers, supported by AI agents, maintain the same levels of availability and security. The team believes blockchain can provide a trusted coordination layer to define and enforce rules, while ZK enables agents to interact with credentials, private data, and computations without exposing underlying information. The team is building an interconnected product stack: Compass is an iOS app that accesses large models and functionalities via the Compass API, and includes VPN and eSIM capabilities; Compass API is an AI routing infrastructure connecting over 30 large models; CENO provides a trust layer via ZK to protect credentials, agent context, and privacy-preserving computations; USX is used for payments and settlements; SCR continues to coordinate governance; and the Scroll network serves as the trust and coordination layer. CENO has engaged with over 30 potential clients, 12 of whom are participating in proof-of-concept tests. The team plans to gradually transition Scroll from a general-purpose public chain into a specialized network centered around the Compass and AI product stack, with an estimated transition period of nine months. Under the current plan, SCR will be migrated to the Ethereum mainnet to preserve accessibility and liquidity, with no changes to supply or tokenomics, and it will continue to function as the governance token. This post is solely an update on progress and not a formal proposal or vote; subsequent proposals will be submitted for DAO approval regarding the network transition and other matters requiring governance consent.
