On September 7, 2026, Saudi Aramco’s Jizan oil facilities, near the Yemen border—a region frequently targeted by Houthi rebels—were attacked. This follows a similar strike one month earlier that disrupted refinery operations. On-chain data shows immediate market reactions: WTI crude rose $0.59 to $92.22 per barrel, and Brent crude increased $0.62 to $95.86. Traders are closely monitoring altcoins amid heightened geopolitical tensions.

BlockBeats news, on September 7, according to the Financial Times, the Saudi Aramco Jizan oil facility was attacked, just one month after the previous separate attack caused temporary partial shutdowns of its refinery capacity.

According to two people familiar with the matter, the company’s oil infrastructure was targeted on Monday, and damage assessments are currently underway. Jizan, Saudi Arabia’s industrial city closest to the Yemen border, has been repeatedly attacked by Houthi forces in the past. Amin Nasser, CEO of Aramco, stated last month that previous attacks had caused temporary disruptions to oil production but had no material impact on operations or finances. One of the sources said the latest attack was of a similar scale to the one last month.

As a result, WTI crude oil rose $0.59 per barrel in 5 minutes, now trading at $92.22 per barrel; Brent crude oil rose $0.62 per barrel in 5 minutes, now trading at $95.86 per barrel.
