IT Home, October 25: Samsung Electronics plans to launch the Galaxy S27 series flagship smartphones in early next year, expected to be powered by its in-house Exynos 2700 processor. According to South Korean media Financial News this morning (the 25th), the chip outperformed Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor in internal Samsung performance tests.
Test results show that the Exynos 2700 outperforms Qualcomm's products in both CPU and GPU performance, raising expectations for Samsung's renewed competitiveness with its in-house smartphone processors.
Industry sources report that Samsung recently used the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max for internal benchmark testing, with results showing that the Exynos 2700 outperforms Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Supreme Edition.
IT Home has learned from the data that in the Geekbench 6.5 test, the Exynos 2700's CPU multi-core score is approximately 13,000, while Qualcomm's chip scores around 11,000, giving the Exynos 2700 a lead of about 20%.
In the Geekbench 7.0 test, the Samsung chip also leads by approximately 15%. Compared to the slightly lower-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, the Exynos 2700 extends its lead to 44% and 36% in the two tests, respectively.
The graphics performance test also favors the Exynos 2700. In peak graphics performance tests for large games, the Samsung chip scores approximately 20% higher than Qualcomm’s flagship model; in baseline graphics workload tests for common large 3D games, it leads by about 5%.
The Exynos series are smartphone processors designed in-house by Samsung Electronics' System LSI division, handling core tasks such as computation and graphics processing. The previous-generation Exynos 2600 has been used in select Galaxy S26 series devices and the Galaxy Z Flip8.

The Exynos 2700 is planned for mass production using Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm process (SF2P), and it is expected to reduce chip heat generation and further enhance performance through improved heat-spreader packaging technology.
