Samsung Electronics stated that demand for server chips in the second half of the year will remain strong, with chip supply shortages expected to persist, while demand for mobile and PC chips may slow down.
The company expects strong demand for its memory business to continue, driven by capital expenditures on AI infrastructure and broader adoption of autonomous AI applications, with profitability set to grow further in the second half of the year. Additionally, the depreciation of the Korean won provided a positive impact of approximately KRW 3.1 trillion on its second-quarter results.
