Sage Capital Management, a renowned integrated financial infrastructure firm, has partnered with OpenPayd, a popular digital financial infrastructure entity. The collaboration aims to broaden fiat payment-related capabilities, benefiting institutional clients using digital asset services.

As per Sage Capital’s official press release, the development is set to unveil USD, GBP, and EUR as the payment options within its network. So, the move focuses on assisting institutional users in shifting funds more effectively between digital assets and conventional currencies.

Sage Capital Broadens Payment Infrastructure in Partnership with OpenPayd

The partnership between Sage Capital and OpenPayd endeavors to introduce an expanded infrastructure to strengthen the capability to deliver secure, flexible, and fast payment services to veteran market participants. The integration permits Sage Capital Management to access the financial infrastructure of OpenPayd while letting the firm release virtual International Bank Account Numbers (vIBANs) for clients.

The respective accounts intend to enhance outgoing and incoming payment tracking, along with streamlining the reconciliation process. At the same time, the move also supports swift settlement between users and counterparties, coping with a significant operational need for institutions dealing with digital asset transfers at scale.

The inclusion of diverse payment networks allows Sage Capital Management to facilitate USD transfers via SWIFT, GBP transactions via SWIFT and Faster Payments, and EUR payments via SEPA. Such a multi-rail framework enables clients to enjoy greater flexibility while collecting payments as well as settling capital with their liquidity providers.

Boosting Digital Asset Payment Optionality for Institutional Users

This synergy minimizes the requirement for institutional clients to rely on just one payment corridor or currency when managing digital asset activities. With the merger of several payment rails and currencies, Sage Capital Management permits organizations to choose payment routes according to their settlement and funding needs.

Thus, the integration adds comprehensive optionality when it comes to entities shifting funds between digital assets and fiat markets. While discussing the initiative, OpenPayd’s Chief Commercial Officer, Lux Thiagarajah, stated, “Sage Capital Management is simplifying how institutions access digital asset markets, and our role is to provide the fiat connectivity that supports that proposition.”

Echoing the same enthusiasm, Sage Capital Management’s CEO, Nathan Sage, said, “Our partnership with OpenPayd enables us to meet the highest standards of transparency and regulatory alignment.”

Keeping this in view, the integration combines collateralized lending, technology, liquidity access, and banking within the institutional digital asset network. Overall, the broader fiat connectivity between the two firms adds an extra infrastructure layer, providing professional users with more options to manage their settlements and payments while taking part in the worldwide digital asset markets.
