A daily market report from RWA.io, citing Forklog, reveals that RWA market fragmentation across blockchains is costing up to $1.3 billion annually. The inefficiencies block liquidity and capital flow, causing identical assets to trade at different prices. Cross-chain transfer costs and complexity eliminate arbitrage opportunities. Marco Vidric, COO of RWA.io, says the issue is the biggest barrier to unlocking trillions in value. A weekly market report estimates 2-5% losses per transfer, with fragmentation set to cost $600 million to $1.3 billion a year. Analysts see the RWA market hitting $16–30 trillion by 2030, with annual inefficiency losses of $30–75 billion.
