Bitcoin news emerged as Roysirc Keishi reaffirmed his position on Bitcoin allocation, citing Bitcoin analysis that favors scarce assets amid dollar weakness and inflation. Bitcoin briefly approached $79,500 as markets absorbed the U.S. Treasury’s new bond repurchase plan. The Treasury raised caps on 10- to 30-year bond operations effective September 9, aiming to enhance liquidity without signaling quantitative easing.
CoinDesk reports:

Robert Kiyosaki recently publicly reaffirmed his support for Bitcoin, stating that assets with scarcity are better suited for wealth preservation amid a weakening dollar and rising inflation pressures. Meanwhile, Bitcoin approached $79,500 this week, as markets reassess the impact of the U.S. Treasury’s latest debt operations on risk assets.

Kiyosaki reiterates the importance of allocating to scarce assets

On August 22, Kiyosaki stated that financially literate investors allocate assets to Bitcoin, gold, silver, and some real estate to hedge against the declining purchasing power of the U.S. dollar. He continued to express his long-standing preference for scarce assets.

However, the report notes that such statements are essentially personal investment opinions and do not directly prove that buying Bitcoin reflects greater financial literacy. Some investors may hold cash due to liquidity needs, daily expenses, or short-term liability arrangements.

Kiyosaki previously acknowledged that buying Bitcoin at high prices during periods of excessive market enthusiasm could lead to losses. He has previously warned during market pullbacks not to buy assets solely because of market hype.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury expands repurchase operations for long-term Treasuries.

On August 19, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced an increase in the scale of liquidity-enhancing buyback operations for nominal Treasuries with maturities of 10 to 20 years and 20 to 30 years. Under this arrangement, starting September 9, the per-operation cap will be raised from $2 billion to at least $4 billion, and this measure will remain in effect until November 4.

The Treasury stated that this move aims to improve liquidity in the long-term Treasury market, and it has not defined the program as quantitative easing nor announced any new monetary injection. The report emphasized that Treasury buybacks are a debt management tool, whereas quantitative easing involves large-scale asset purchases conducted by the Federal Reserve—two distinct measures.

This means that describing the relevant actions directly as “printing money” is more of a politicized characterization than a technical definition of the policy tool.

Bitcoin's rise is driven by multiple factors.

As of August 23, Bitcoin was trading at approximately $76,000, having previously approached $79,500 two days earlier. In the preceding week, BTC had gained over 20%, before pulling back from its recent high.

The report suggests that this rally occurred following the U.S. Treasury's announcement of repurchase arrangements, a decline in long-term U.S. Treasury yields, and a weaker dollar. The initial price movement was driven by forced covering of short positions, followed by inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which provided more direct support for spot demand.

From a timing perspective, the market has indeed linked changes in liquidity expectations to Bitcoin's rebound, but this alone is not sufficient to prove that Treasury operations will necessarily lead to inflation or persistently weaken the dollar.

Past high targets have not been fulfilled.

Kiyosaki has previously made aggressive Bitcoin price targets. In June 2024, he stated that Bitcoin would reach $350,000 by August 25 of that year, calling this figure a "target, dream, and aspiration." This prediction did not come to pass.

Subsequently, he proposed higher targets such as $500,000 and $1 million, but these projections were not accompanied by a clear valuation model. The report also noted that although Kiyosaki has long publicly expressed a bullish outlook on Bitcoin, he sold approximately $2.25 million worth of BTC in November 2025 at a price of around $90,000 per coin and redirected the funds toward medical centers and billboard businesses.

Next, market attention will shift to whether spot demand can continue to support prices after the short squeeze ends. The U.S. Treasury’s arrangement to raise the cap on long-term Treasury repurchase operations will take effect on September 9, prompting further observation of its actual impact on long-term yields and risk assets.
