The company has been awarded a $266 million contract by the U.S. Air Force to launch 12 suborbital flights, with an additional 6 flights optional, with missions to be conducted in Alaska and expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
SpaceX rose over 3%, ending a seven-day consecutive daily decline, and added another 1.3% in after-hours trading. The company will release its Q2 2026 earnings report on August 4 and hold an earnings webcast; the market is currently focused on the next Starship test flight.
