  • Robinhood closed the second quarter of 2026 with record revenue of $1.31 billion.
  • Revenue from prediction markets totaled $156 million and grew more than tenfold, surpassing crypto and stocks.
  • Crypto revenue fell 38%, and organic in-app trading volume dropped 35% — to $18 billion.

Robinhood published its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. Core revenue reached a record $1.31 billion, and net income came in at $573 million. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $741 million, with a 57% margin.

At the same time, net income was partially driven by one-off factors. It included $129 million in income, primarily due to the deconsolidation of Robinhood Ventures Fund I. This added about $0.14 to diluted earnings per share (EPS). As a result, nearly 23% of the company’s quarterly profit came from one-off investment activity rather than core operations, the press release said.

Prediction Markets Surpassed Crypto and Stocks

A structural shift in the report was the rise of prediction markets into one of the key components of the transaction business. Revenue from event contracts totaled $156 million — up more than tenfold year over year. For comparison, stock revenue was $129 million (+95%), while crypto revenue was $100 million (-38%). Event contract volume increased more than tenfold — to 13.6 billion contracts. The company also launched Rothera — a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearing platform in partnership with Susquehanna International Group.

Overall transaction-based revenue rose 44% — to $776 million, accounting for roughly 59% of total revenue. Options remain the largest component — $342 million (+29%).

Crypto: Current Metrics Decline and Strategic Expansion

The crypto segment looks weak in the quarter’s financials: revenue fell 38% — to $100 million, and organic in-app trading volume declined 35% — to $18 billion. Total crypto volume was $40 billion, but $22 billion of that came from the newly acquired Bitstamp — meaning more than half of consolidated volume was driven by non-organic activity.

At the same time, the company is aggressively expanding its crypto infrastructure: it closed the acquisition of Canada’s WonderFi, launched the public mainnet for Robinhood Chain, offered tokenized stocks in more than 120 countries, rolled out decentralized lending via Robinhood Earn, added perpetual futures in the EU, and plans to launch crypto products in the UK.

As a reminder, we previously reported that the tokenized stocks sector on Robinhood Chain grew by almost sevenfold since the network’s launch.
