Robinhood has announced new AI-powered trading tools, weekend stock trading, and crypto futures with 10x leverage. The platform introduced Robinhood Agents, which use models from OpenAI or Anthropic to perform market research and execute trades based on user conditions. Initial trades require approval, while the Loops feature enables continuous trading. For crypto market update, the platform will launch perpetual futures on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Weekend trading for select stocks and ETFs is available through Bruce ATS. Crypto derivatives will be offered to eligible US customers only.

US-based investment platform Robinhood has announced AI-powered trading tools, weekend stock trading, and crypto futures offering leverage of up to 10x.

Robinhood announced its new products targeting active investors at the HOOD Summit event in Houston. The company’s most notable innovation is Robinhood Agents, which can conduct market research on behalf of users and execute trades under certain conditions.

Users can create AI agents with access to a separate trading account by selecting either OpenAI or Anthropic models from within the application. These agents can analyze market data, create watchlists, and suggest stock, option, and cryptocurrency trades. Initially, each trade suggested by the agent will require user approval. However, users can disable this protection.

When the feature called “Loops” is activated, investors will be able to give the AI continuously valid instructions. For example, the agent will be able to automatically execute trades when the conditions are met by monitoring specified price or market conditions. Robinhood stated that agents will initially not be able to perform leveraged trades and will only be able to use the assets in their assigned account.

The company is also preparing to offer eligible US users perpetual futures contracts with up to 10x leverage on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Unlike traditional futures contracts, these products do not have a specific expiration date. Leverage can increase potential gains, but it can also rapidly increase an investor’s losses.

Another move by Robinhood will be to launch weekend trading for select US stocks and exchange-traded funds. The service will be offered through Bruce ATS. With this, the company aims to bring the seamless trading experience found in crypto markets to traditional assets.

Not all of the announced features are available at once. Some will be rolled out gradually, and only eligible US customers will be able to access the crypto derivatives.
