ChainCatcher report, according to The Defiant, Robinhood has confirmed that CEO Vlad Tenev’s X account was compromised and used to promote a fake meme coin called Vladhood on Robinhood Chain. According to DexScreener data, VLAD recorded over $22 million in trading volume within hours, with a fully diluted valuation of approximately $2.6 million; the Robinhood Chain block explorer has flagged the contract as fraudulent. On-chain records show that the token deployment address launched the token via the Pons platform 46 minutes before the fake post and set Tenev’s X homepage as the token’s official website, indicating that the token launch and account compromise were part of a coordinated operation. The attacker never withdrew liquidity; instead, they called Pons’ fee withdrawal function six times, extracting approximately 31.6 ETH and 720 million VLAD tokens, totaling around $247,000. This marks at least the third social media scam related to Robinhood Chain meme coins in the past three weeks.
